Aromatherapy massage pairs a full-body Swedish-style massage with essential oil blends chosen for the effect you're after. Lavender and chamomile lean toward deep calm and sleep; citrus and rosemary toward lift and clarity; eucalyptus toward clear breathing and post-cold recovery. The oils work through both skin absorption and scent, and the combination with unhurried massage is more than the sum of its parts.
It's the session to choose when the tension is as much mental as physical — heavy weeks, low mood, scattered focus, or the wired-but-exhausted state that ordinary rest doesn't fix.
What to expect
The session starts with a short conversation about how you want to feel afterwards; the therapist selects and blends oils accordingly and confirms the scent with you before starting. The massage itself is flowing and moderately paced — aromatherapy favours rhythm over deep pressure. The scent lingers pleasantly for hours, so evening bookings pair beautifully with an early night.
Frequently asked questions
Can I choose the oils myself?
Yes — tell the therapist a preference (or an aversion) and they'll blend around it. If you're new to it, describe the mood you want and let them choose.
I have sensitive skin or allergies — is this safe?
Tell us at booking. Oils are always diluted in a carrier oil, and the therapist can patch-test on your forearm first or switch to a hypoallergenic single-oil blend.
Is aromatherapy massage deep or light?
Light to medium — the style prioritises rhythm and continuity. If you want deep work on knots, book deep tissue instead, or ask for a hybrid in the notes.
Should I shower after?
Ideally not for a few hours — the oils continue absorbing. A warm shower before the session is the better order.
Is it safe during pregnancy?
Several essential oils aren't recommended during pregnancy. Tell us and we'll assign a therapist who works with pregnancy-safe blends and positioning.
