The head and shoulder massage is our desk-worker special: thirty focused minutes on exactly the places screens and stress load up — scalp, temples, neck, shoulders and upper back. No table needed, no undressing, minimal setup; it fits into a lunch break or the gap between the last call and dinner.
Done well, this compact session punches far above its weight. Scalp massage releases tension most people don't realise they're carrying; work along the neck and the tops of the shoulders addresses the exact muscles that tighten from keyboard-and-monitor posture; and the whole thing takes half an hour.
What to expect
You sit comfortably in a chair, fully clothed (a light oil for the scalp is optional — say if you'd rather skip it before an evening out). The therapist works the scalp, temples and hairline, then the neck, shoulders and upper back with kneading and pressure-point work. Tension headaches, if you get them, often ease during the session itself.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to wash my hair afterwards?
Only if you opt for oil. Many people take the session without oil during the workday and with warm oil in the evening.
Can this help with headaches?
Tension-type headaches — the tight band, screen-strain kind — respond well to this exact work. Migraines are a different mechanism; some people find massage helps between episodes, but avoid booking during an attack.
Is 30 minutes really enough?
For the head, neck and shoulders specifically, yes — it's a concentrated session. If your tension extends into the mid-back, consider the 60-minute Swedish or deep tissue instead.
Can you do this for my whole team at the office?
That's exactly what our corporate office massage is for — chair sessions for teams. See that service or write to us for a package.
Will it mess up my hair?
Without oil, minimally — think "removed a cap" rather than "left a salon". With oil, plan to wash.
