The At-Home Salon Guide — Facials, Waxing, Mani-Pedi and Hair Spa

The salon side of our menu is maintenance and glow: skin, hair, hands and feet. Here's what each service actually does, the rhythm each one rewards, and how to sequence them before an event.

The services, honestly described

Classic facial — the fundamentals done properly: cleanse, exfoliate, steam, extraction where needed, face massage, mask. Monthly is the rhythm that matches your skin's renewal cycle. This is the workhorse; book it as maintenance, not just for occasions.

Fruit / gold facial — the classic sequence with richer actives and a longer massage. Fruit for brightening dull or tanned skin; gold for occasion-day luminosity. Book it 3–5 days before events — the glow peaks after redness settles.

Full body waxing — full arms, legs and underarms with gentle wax, single-use applicators, done in your own privacy. Results last 3–4 weeks and improve with regular cycles. Hair needs about two to three weeks of growth for the wax to grip — don't shave between sessions.

Manicure & pedicure — soak, scrub, cuticle care, shaping, a genuinely good hand-and-foot massage, polish. Monthly for maintenance; the deliberate massage portions are why the at-home version beats the salon assembly line.

Hair spa — deep conditioning worked in with a proper scalp massage, steam wrap, mask. Every 2–4 weeks for dry, coloured or heat-styled hair. The scalp massage is half the treatment — for the hair and for your nervous system.

Threading & cleanup — brows shaped properly, upper lip, and a 15-minute freshness reset for the face. Every 3–4 weeks keeps brows permanently in shape.

Sequencing before a big event

Working backwards from the day:

The one rule above all: nothing for the first time in the final week. Every product and treatment should be one your skin has already met.

The maintenance stack

If you want a simple standing rhythm: facial + threading monthly, waxing every 3–4 weeks, mani-pedi monthly, hair spa fortnightly-to-monthly by hair condition. Most of our regulars settle into a version of this — and booking the same beautician each time means she knows your skin better every visit.
